The Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern is a former drinking water reservoir built in 1926 for the City of Houston. BBP restored and repurposed the 87,500 square-foot Cistern into a magnificent public space for tours, performances, and art installations.  Tickets $12 (Seniors) and $15 (Adults). This is not a private tour.  Please purchase your tickets ahead of time on the Houston Cistern Tour.

What to Know

NO LATE ENTRY. We suggest arriving about 30-minutes early to ensure you have enough time to park and check in for your tour. Overfill parking is available in City Lot H, located at 1643 Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77007, just to the east of Fonde Recreation Center.

Do not leave valuables in your vehicle.
